Hello, my name is Alejandro León 😋
Designer, Developer, Entrepreneur 👌. Born in Venezuela, currently living in Chile. I love the craft of design and the amazing things we can build with technology. 🚀
🤓 Here are some projects in which I am involved:
A work-in-progress web-based editor to create 3d experiencies.spline.design
Can't say much about it yet, but Spline's goal is to make easier the process of 3d experiences on the web. If you want to participate as an alpha tester (and later beta tester), you can sign up here.
This is the kind of things you can do in Spline.
Looks better in motion 👇
Check our instagram (@splinetool) to follow the development progress. We publish videos or pictures every week. 🤘
A funny quiz game to test your knowledge of the anime world.otakugame.fun/
How much do you know about anime?
I was resting from a terrible flu 🤧 in a weekend and this idea came out as the perfect excuse to learn something new.
There are so many anime genres, series 📼, movies 🎬, characters 🎎, and a myriad of interesting topics to learn! So I thought about building something funny that I could share with my friends.
Try it here and test you anime knowledge!
Spectrum chat to share and discuss news or ideas about AR/VR world.spectrum.chat/arhero
These days AR is a 🔥 trend for good reasons. I wanted to have a place where I can save my findings, but that also functions as a way to share it with others.
So I made a Spectrum 🌈 chat to collect links, news, and AR/VR related content that I found to be insteresting.
I publish new content once in a while, but...
It is an open chat! If you happen to be interested in this world, 👉 join the chat 👈 and share your findings too.
A game inspired by bimanual coordination exercises.synchronygame.com
Oh this is a very cool project. It's my first iOS game! 🤓
I spend like 3 months in the making 😭 from start to end (including making the website and publishing to the App Store). But it was a lot of fun. If you have an iPhone or iPad, try it. 📱
The design of the game was made in Sketch 💎 and it is quite simple, I used a brigth colors to clearly identify the 8 stages of the game.
Each stage have 8 levels, so there is a total of 64 levels. It was all done using Unity's animation and script system 🚀.
🕹 Here is a video of how it works:
A smart toy for children that works with Augmented Reality.pleiq.com
Back in 2014, some friends and I founded our first startup and we began our journey into the entrepreneur's world.
PleIQ is a wonderful idea with thousands of work hours required to make it real. It mixes educational activities with Augmented Reality experiencies and the goal is too make learning a fun process.
We learned a lot about AR design and spatial computing: how to create magical experiencies in the space.
It amazed me how much of design theory goes to the 🗑 once you start testing it with children 👶🧒 (or to be more precise, once you are being tested by them 😅).
Conceptual UI design for the open-source game engine Godot.godotengine.org
In 2015 did a conceptual UI design for Godot game engine as a personal design challenge.
I initially shared my interest on the RC channel, then on the forum and finally as a github issue.
The github issue 👀 became one of the most discussed thread of the repo in that time, and it was keep open for 3 years. Some developers, inspired by the ideas, ended up building the UI theme of Godot 3.0.
Unfortunately, it is still hard for open-source communities to get design right 😣, and thus the final UI implementation wasn't as good as it could be 😡, but things are getting better and Godot's community is growing really fast! improving design as it moves forward 🤗.
I never thought that my initial concept could have such impact on the community, I feel really happy about it.
I put much ❤️ and effort in those 😋
Thanks for stopping by, take care 😘
